I was looking for a book to read and went to my local library. I picked up Choose Me and read the brief summary. Took it home and could not put it down. Read it while riding to work and was in tears at times and laughed at times. This book has touched me and made me rethink my spiritual life with the LORD!! Keep on doing what you doing. I LOVE this book!! I am so impressed and you have a fan for life!!

Xenia your book was so wonderful I had to read it from cover to cover. This is the first book I have ever read in it's entirety, even in high school i didn't read books all the way through for a book report. It had me laughing almost crying at the edge of my seat. Even though this book is fictional, it helped me realize a lot of things in life and since I am struggle with my faith with God at this time it opened my eyes more to Him too. I thought this would be another book I would read the first couple of pages and put it down but every free moment I got I picked it up. This book to me is the best book I could have picked up and read through. I almost feel as if it was fate for me to walk in the store I walked into and pick up this book. I want all my friends to read it but I don't want to give up my copy. I really can't wait for your next book to come out. May God bless you and your talent.

I'm not sure how often you read this guestbook Ms. Ruiz, but I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the book Choose Me. I read it for the first time in summer 2006 and it stood out to me as one of my favorite novels. I just reread it (May 2008) & I still love it!! I really appreciate the complexity and depth shown in the relationship of Eva and Adam. The alternating chapter first person voices of their experiences allowed me to see the relationship in a more realistic way. Eva & Adam were not only two people trying to date, but also rounded individuals with ther own stories and struggles. As a Christian myself, I also loved the how the influence of having a relationship with God was shown in the book. Verses from the bible flowed smoothly into the story showing that the word of God truly is Living and powerful and VERY applicable to life's situations. There are so many things I loved about the characters,their personalities,and their journeys. I even loved the song choices in this book form India.Arie to Sade. I loved the cafe scenes. As an African American I loved all the cultural references in the book. As a 21 year old college student I felt compassion for the college campus tragedy. I could go on & on but I've already typed enough, lol...So anyway, thanks for writing this book & GOD BLESS

i love ur book "choose me"... i am a single mother of two and am only 22 yrs old. i work full time and dont have much time to read... i saw ur book in a store and just bought it for some reason... there was something that drew me to it... im not much of a big reader, but i love to do it when i have the time... i absolutely cannot put the book down... there is something in it that compels me to keep reading... i love it... i love how it is setup with each chapter the other person... i believe in God but havent been too involved in church in my life... i was in an abusive relationship but am having a hard time moving on... i wanted to let you know that the book is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE... i wish there was more for me to read... i love how it is easy to read and relate to as well... i love the characters... everything about it... thank you so much for writing it!!!
