Richard is a retired firefighter and has written the first - and only - comprehensive look at the rich and exciting history of firefighters on the television. In his book TV Firefighters he covers the every TV series (over 75), mini-series, documentary and unsold pilot about firefighting, thats ever aired on the network, anywhere in the world.

He has a book coming out in the next few months entirely about the TV Show "Emergency".
