Hey! I picked up an XA by luck at the thrift store for only $4.00, not really knowing much about them. The camera batteries work (it makes a long beep), but I can't seem to get the A11 flash to work. I just put in a new AA battery. Does it need to be charged somehow? Is it just dead? Can these units be repaired?

From what I have seen, the camera looks like it works great on its own, and I know I'm very lucky to get the body for next to nothing, but I just want to make sure everything works if possible. Thanks for any info...
