I want to extend my drishat shalom to Dan and Elisheva Carmi who were my hosts during the summer of 1960 when I worked at Kibbutz matsuva helping to prepare and pick potatoes, tomatoes, bananas, grapes, peaches, plums, and avocados. The Carmis, with their sons Nir and Tal who lived in the children's house, were warm hosts. I lived with a few other Americans in a shack (tsrif?) but worked and dined with the kibbutz members. It was a wonderful summer which I still recall vividly. It was good seeing pictures of both Dan and Elisheva. Best wishes to all.
