Hello,
I recently found out my 3rd great grandmother, Isabella Clark, and 4th great grandmother Janet Thomson are buried in the churchyard. I admire Isabella Clark since, she raised 2 of her grandchildren. Never married, and unfortunately died poor. I assume neither would have grave markers. My1st trip is planned for Scotland in March 2022. My grandparents came from Aberdeen. If time permits I hope to visit many grave sites of my ancestors.

My wife Sue and I visited the Cruden Church on Sunday, June 7 to take pictures of memorials. We were looking for information of where my G Grandfather farmed (Berrylea); Betty Forester invited us into the hall for coffee and took us to her farm on Aldie (another place my G Grandfather farmed) and her husband, James drove us over the fields to where the farm was located. Thanks so much to them and the other parishioners who made us feel welcome!

My great, great grandparents George Black and Jane Bruce attended this church and they immigrated in 1851. George\'s father was Robert Black and also lived in the area. We visited Cruden Bay in 2003 and the church. Beautiful country. Hope to get back someday.

my grnadparents, Uncle, and 2 Aunts buried in the churchyard. I was christened there ( born 1937). Very interesting to note that Rupert Murdoch's grandmother laid the foundation stone of the church. I now live about 20 mins away from Rupert's Mother - Dame Elisabeth Murdoch - small world. Hope to make one more visit to Cruden Bay one of these days while I still an able-bodied!

Hi, My ongoing research brought me here, as my ggg-grandparents William Robertson and Elizabeth Murray lived and died around Errolston and Craighead, Cruden in the early to mid 1800's. I must congratulate you on your very interesting and formative website.

Keep up the good work(s)!
