Hi Pam
Donagreagh farm still exists and is a working farm, not a golf course. I was there last week and met the present owner, Fionnuala, whose mother was a Gallery. So, the farm is still in Gallery hands and used mainly to breed Connemara ponies. There\'s a page on FB called Donagreagh Connemaras. Check it out.
Regards,
Jim Clark

Hello, my father, Gerald Grant, Jr., just passed away, and I saw Lex and my cousins, Bruce and Gillian Grant of John Grant, Gerry\'s brother, Rosemary Gallery\'s son. The obit is on Legacy.com. Looking for Audrey Gallery, and know she lives or lived about 1350 Astor Place in Chicago, which is across the street from where Rosemary and Gerald Grant I lived. Thought this website was interesting factoid. Please sign me up for any newsletter. Thank you, and thank you for the genealogy.

I really enjoyed looking at the pictures you posted..... really took me down memory lane. Even though my father was USAF Base Commander, I lived a year in a house I believe was in Hatchet Bay, then moved on Naval Base when the housing was built. Spent most of my time running around the Naval Base with friends and chasing the sailors and trying not to get caught by my father and friends father which was Commander of the Navy Base I think from 65 to 67. I have been wanting to go back to visit and even thought about living there..... what can I say I loved it there.

My father in law is Don Decker. He and his family was station at the base in the late 50's. He was one of the first to get order there. He was a See Bee and helped build the commessary and ran it for about three years. He is now 80 years old. If any of you remember him please contact me at azela@comcast.net. My name is Tom Hammond and I am also a retired Navy man. My wife and I just made a visit to the old Naval Base this past July and filmed the old buildings and tried to locate the old commessary but do not no what building it was. If anyone can help us by sending a photo, or map or directions, it would be appreciated. This is a great web site. Thanks for the good work of keeping it going.
Sincerely, Tom Hammond
